I'd do anything once (well so long as it's legal) to support hubby but if I didn't like it he would respect it and I wouldn't do it again and vice versa I think, for him to come to a FF meeting was a big thing for him as he'd rather be alone and not a great mixer. Don't know if I'd like a ballet as I've never been so won't dismiss it so long as someone bought me the ticket lol.

In March my work is holding a night at the movies ball and you can go in ball gown or dressed as a movie star, I've never done anything like this before and never owned a ball gown, my boss has generously bought a table for 8 and hubby and I are going! I can get a dress from ebay hopefully and daughter should be able to make it fit properly. I cannot imagine it's my scene but never been to a ball I really want to at least try it and it won't cost us a lot.

Any ideas what daughter can go as? I've suggested for her and b/f to go as Sandy and Danny from Grease (end scene) she'd look great with shiny leggings and heels but she won't do a blonde wig and she's almost black haired. Any ideas welcome?

My hubby would not do ballet at all, even if it was a free ticket!

I hope you have a great night in March Lesley. Not my cup of tea though I'm afraid and no way hubby would do that.

My office does a night do - who can drunk quickest and throw up! I've not been yet.

We have a lunchtime do at the local Frankie and Bennys which I do go to.

You can't get drunk there as people are back at work straight afterwards!

At my previous office we did do a proper fancy dress at Christmas which was great.

Perhaps we could do that for a future FF? Don't expect my hubby to dress up for it though!

I couldn't do a ball, but a fancy dress party would be good.

I just don't do chocolate anymore.

Eight stone 13 now!

I'm the opposite can't do a fancy dress and not sure I can do the ball but I'll give it a go this once. Daughter and boyfriend love to be the centre of attention unlike me so any ideas of couples they can go dressed as will be appreciated.

Oh a Ball les, yes that sounds great. I would love to do something like that, but would have to be about 5 stone lighter first LOL.

Lily is very happy to be doing the tree with Cassie, she just asked me who's putting the angel/star on top. That she wants Cassie to do it because she gets to do the one here at home. Bless her.

Ah your little girls sounds lovely bless her xx

I could do with being 5 stone lighter too LB but I doubt that bit will happen, luckily I have a daughter with a great talent in textiles and can do a lot of things. xx

She could go as Trinity from the Marix and he could be Neo, or Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze from Ghost? Or Baby and Johnny Castle from Dirty Dancing.

Brilliant! It is certainly an idea and doesn't involve a blonde wig!
