Hi cgr,

To qualify for an IVA you usually have to have three lines of debt and disposable income of around £250 per month (this is the amount of money you have left after paying your rent/mortgage, any secured loans and living expenses. The repayments on your unsecured loans should be excluded). Whether an IVA will be suitable for you will depend on these factors and possibly who your debts are to.

If you are looking for an IVA firm to represent you take a look at www.IVA.com. We maintain a list of IVA firms and publish client reviews of their services.

Good luck with finding the right solution for you.

Kind regards,
Terry Balfour

If you have a spare £200 after paying all your living costs (not including unsecured debt) then you may be able to propose a succesful IVA.

Please post some more details on your personal circumstances so we can advise further.

Welcome to the forum cgr,

Could you please list who your creditors are? and what your disposable income is? Disposable income is calculated as follows:

Net Monthly Income -
Living Expenses (not including payments to creditors)
= Disposable income.
