Hi, I've been on an IVA since 2011 and it should have ended this November, but I had a six month payment break as a result of being made redundant. It should now end next May. I'm very sorry if this sounds so trivial compared to some of the experiences people have reported on this forum, but would my IP and creditors agree to a one or two month additional payment break to allow me pay for a holiday? My payments are almost £800 a month and I just can't save enough on my own. I've been working all the hours and really do need this holiday. Many thanks

Only your own IP can tell you the answer to this one.

To be perfectly honest I can't see them allowing you a break for a holiday but, as Foggy says, your IP will tell you.

Cant imagine creditors allowing a payment break for an £800 holiday.

It is unlikely that your IP or creditors would sanction a payment break for a holiday even though you are so near the end and have complied. If you needed to miss a payment for something more urgent such as vehicle or house repairs your IP could probably allow this and just add the payment on to the end but unfortunately not for a holiday.

I doubt it. You are better off just finishing the extension, getting your CC and then planning a holiday as you will take back control of your finances once the IVA is finished.
