Swans_girl has changed her name FD!

I certainly remember what you were like when you first started posting.

You have come a long way since then.

How are you feeling now Simbel?

The night time is always the worse, you're tired but the old brain cells keep churning things over don't they? As you've probably worked out, there's always someone around so when the going gets a little tough, make a post, read the blogs, watch IVA TV, anything to reassure you...you are not alone!.

I think your idea of starting a blog is a great one. I've done one and it really helped when I was struggling and not just with debt issues. I think all bloggers will say the same.

It would be fab to read some of the newer posters blogs and you will help others too.

Glad you and hubby are together through this and don't beat yourself up over £20 on the food budget.Including the Christmas extras, you've done really well.

Keep posting xx

You should do what we do - take a list into the supermarket and stick to it.

Doesn't matter what the bargains are. If you don't need them, don't buy them!

Hello Julie - Is there really a tv channel called IVA TV? yes you are absolutely right, night time for me is the worst, although during the day when I'm in the office it's pretty hard to concentrate as well. The worst is that you tend to go over and over and over everything in your head and try and add the debt your in and somehow caluculate how you got to the figure that your in debt by and whats worst what have you got to show for it? Then there's the worry will they accept us? Won't they accept us - what if they don't - BR really is not an option for us. Someone from the IP Company is meant to be calling me today (I think my proposal is in the drafting stage) - so now I'm also watching the phone constantly (everyone knows what that feels like!!)- What if they don't call, should I call them?

Everyone on this site is so supportive, but you know what it's like -until you get that answer!!....and it feels like I'm still so far away from it. I suppose you have your good days and your bad days(Monday's are rarely ever good anyway) Keep remembering that we have never defaulted in the past and this weekend we defaulted on the first of our creditcard payments (don't think it will be a huge problem as it was a John Lewis card only £282 outstanding - and I have been known to pay them over the phone a day or so late) but I'm getting really scared of the big boys ie Barclaycard, MBNA, Egg etc.

Kallis - I think you are absolutely right - I should take a list of the stuff we need, but I don't think I can take my husband with me (he has this thing about stocking up on toothpaste and loo rolls - I know, I know strange - stranger still you should see the amount of loo roll and toothpaste we have at home!) so the best thing is for me to go shopping on my own which will obviously upset him.

You'll just have to get him to stick to the list. He's going to have to help you budget and that means not putting stuff in the trolley you don't actually need!
