Okay so here I am it's midnight and I can't sleep. I'm worried about our problem, although as my husband keeps reassuring me - I've come so far already, we've managed to do everything our IP company have told us to do, sent back our pack which apparently was fine and is now with the drafting team - apparently I should have heard from someone in that team today or Monday. Don't know how long before we get the draft though - certainly don't think we will manage a creditors meeting before Christmas. Worried also for poor Lusso (funny that - don't know anyone on this forum) however we all have something in common and it brings us all so close - and everyone genuinely cares. Don't know if I want my Creaditors meeting now until after Christmas and the New Year after reading Melanie's thread about what is happening with a few other companies and clients like poor Lusso - getting very very scared and I've never been known for my patience (not one of my virtues unfortunately!). Sorry everyone just having a moan - may be I should start a blog . To everyone on this forum - you've all helped me so much - just reading all your comments and advice - By the way Becca if you read this congratulations once again - I'm so happy for you. Goodnight everyone - hope you all have nice weekends - Lusso try and keep yourself occupied, Monday will come before you know it and some positive news along with it. [8)]

Hi simbel

The waiting n worrying part is the worst & i completely feel for you have to go through it over Christmas.
Im sure your proposal will be the best offer your creditors could have as they do not get as much from BR.
I agree with Swans - there is still 4 weeks to xmas so you could well know b4. And if its in the new year - you can celebrate to starting again & beginning your journey to becoming debt free.
This forums a great place & full of friendly supportive advice from those in the same boat or in the IVA industry.

Good luck with it all ;-)
Final IVA payment made in April 2013, never ever thought we could do it or get through it but we did! X

What you are feeling is normal Simbel and you'll get through it. Don't forget we're all here to support you.

As Ladyh said poor Lusso's case is an exception and I'm sure you won't have the same problems x

I'm sure you won't have the same problem as Lusso.

I hope she gets sorted on Monday.

Thanks for your support everyone - Did the first week's shopping today under the new regime - unfortunately went over the budget by £20.00 - but as my husband pointed out I did buy some food items for Christmas (that obviously I wouldn't normally buy). Hopefully someone from the drafting team will call me next week.

The truth is that although I am really worried about our predicament, it's funny I feel better because it's no longer my dirty secret - my husband was in the dark for a very long time, and I was afraid of what he would say when he knew the truth (he recently admitted he felt the same way) but now that we have seeked help and found you all, I can't explain it - I feel a little a peace with myself. Thanks everyone your brilliant - hopefully we will be approved and on our way to a debt free life - but whilst I'm on that journey, I know I couldn't be in better company - you are all so supportive and great friends, thanks x [:I]

It is great that you report that you and your hubby are on the right side when it comes to your proposed repayment plan. We often get posts from one half of a couple who is clearly not getting the support of their other halves, and this is sometimes the biggest hurdle to overcome.

Put your trust now in the IP you have chosen to represent you, make sure they speak to you personally when it comes to finalising the plan, and look forward to a positive future - together!

Thanks Melanie - I do hope we get a positive outcome (although it's still early days) - everyone's advice has been exceptional on this forum - it really is a godsend! (Melanie - isn't it a little late for you to be on the forum now - I have an excuse, can't sleep! what's yours? ) Everyone is right - you really do go that mile further don't you (above and beyond the call of duty) x[:)]

Simbel it's natural to worry and ALL but none of us have felt exactly the same. I am sure you'll be fine and I look forward to reading an "acceptance" post from you in the near future. Keep your chin up!

I can only agree with the other posts and I had the exact same worries, I also agree Lusso's situation is not normal of what I've seen on forum and hoping it's sorted on Monday. I hope it goes positively for you and always remember we're always here for support and reassurance if you need it.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Simbel, it is great when you have the support of your other half. I was the same - hubby had no idea of how much debt we were in and we had a bit of a rocky time over Christmas a couple of years ago.

No secrets anymore and it's amazing how good that makes you feel.
