I have just received a work contract. In it it says immidiate termination can be due to:
Employee becoming bankrupt or having an arrangement with creditors.
I am half way through my iva and have worked for this company for a number of years with only a verbal contract. I dont think they would find out about the iva and it does not affect my work in any way but this is very worrying. Any advice welcome

Hi,

What sort of company do you work for?

If this was never mentioned to you before then this would constitute a change in your terms and conditions. Personally I would not sign the contract and just advise my employer that I am happy as I am. However I am not a lawyer so perhaps legal advice or a chat to the union would be appropriate [if you have a union].
