all the debt is in my husbands name, we married last month and i want to help him sort this out, will my income be taken into account as i dont have any spare money as i am saving for IVF treatment

Your income will only be taken into account to make sure you both pay a fair percentage each towards the household. The rest of your own money is yours to do as you like with.

Your income will be taken into account with regards to paying your share of the household bills,ie half the groceries etc.
Discharged today the 8th feb 2012. View is much brighter now.
Continuing to rebuild our credit worthiness.

Hi Angie,

I'm in the same position as you -all debts and therefore IVA are in hubby's name alone. My income is only taking into account to make sure I pay my fair share of expenses. Any windfalls / bonus I'm lucky to get are nothing to do with the IVA.

I treat it as we're both in an IVA and I don't bother with credit now. Its a learning curve for us both and you get so much advice from this forum.
