Hi I need to move out and my family offered to pay the deposit for a new place and this will be a gift. Unfortunately my family lives in Italy and I'm in UK so the only way they can help is to pay the deposit into my account, it will be very difficult for them to pay it to the landlord directly.
Will the IVA company agree with this? The amount is likely to be over £ 500.00

I would be inclined to split the amount over a couple of months --- you can, assuming you have the usual terms, have windfalls under £500 and not have to declare them.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
