I have just been offered a role at an insurance firm. When doing the pre screening Interview they asked if I had any IVA’s etc. To which I replied yes, I do have an IVA.
Anyway 4 interviews later I was offered the job. Waiting for my contract and was rung today by their HR team to advise me that as their firm is a financial industry and regulated etc. They will have to check with their regulators as to whether they can employ me having an IVA. They said he would get a good steer from the regulators as to whether or not I’m going to be successful with the president employment checks.
This totally shattered me. Dream job and now possibly an actual dream due to my IVA.
Unfortunately we cannot answer that question, things differ from company to company.
Hopefully they will see that you have addressed your financial problems which probably makes you a better prospect than others.
Fingers crossed.

There are many people working in the financial industry with an IVA and even bankruptcy --- it will depend on the regulating body and the actual position. They might request extra supervision for a while. All is not lost.
Best of luck.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
