I have a PPI payment coming for £1k that I know has to be paid over, however my car is 14 years old and is knocking and banging everywhere. My question is will I be allowed to buy a car with the PPI if I ask, and if I'm allowed will the payment still be added on to what I have to pay back?

Hi Tarasue. I am afraid both of those questions can only be answered by your own IP. I imagine, if a car is required for work purposes the case will be stronger. In the end, you can but ask.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
