Hello,

You can try - I think some of our posters have managed it.

Tracy, you will probably fail the credit check if you are a new subscriber. SKY, even although they credit check seem to have a higher acceptance rate. But worth a try as Harpic says.

Thing is, Tracey, the stain the refusal ( if you do get refused) will leave on your credit score will be long gone before the IVA stain goes, so you have nothing to lose ---- just be prepared for a "no".

Nothing to lose its worth a try you can apply online.make sure if accepted you can afford the payments as you will be tied into a contract if accepted,i think its 18 months with virgin now.

We can't get Virgin as we don't have cable. We've been with Sky since 1989 in one way or another and I would stick with them. We have TV/Broadband/phone with them and it's brilliant.

I have found Virgin very IVA friendly. I got a mobile off them at the start of our IVA and her-in-doors signed up for a new contract 3 months ago, they are well aware we are in an IVA.
Last Payment made 04/12/14. Completion Certificate 25/7/15. IVA company GT. No Issues

Mobile is with 3 (courtesy of daughter taking it out for the wife, I have her old O2 mobile) and we both love Sky for everything else.

The last time I spoke to a Sky rep she said there were rumours they were going to get into the mobile market ---- in which case I shall put all my eggs in the one basket !

Jan probably wouldn't use them for mobile - at the moment she gets loads of calls and texts and unlimited internet access from 3 (as the daughter set it up for her) - I have basic O2 contract and that suits me.

We signed up for Virgin Broadband and phone mid IVA - couldn't get normal broadband round here. We had to pay a month in advance but after that everything was set up on direct debit and no further problems. We did join over the phone as we suspected we may have been turned down applying online.
It's been a long road getting from there to here but it's been worth it!

We changed to Virgin from Sky in March last year because the were offering a good half price deal. Placed the order & it was "referred" then they contacted us the next day to say we had been accepted. We have TV, phone & broadband & they keep offering us mobile.

You don't have to be able too access cable to go with Virgin, they used to be my ISP after BT and before Sky.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
