will going bankrupt affect my plans?

hi im thinking about going to work in berlin next year but i am also thinking about declaring myself bankrupt how will going bankrupt affect my plans? many thanks

The official receiver will expect you to enter in to an income payments agreement (if you have any surplus income)prior to receiving your automatic discharge. The agreement will require you to inform the OR of any significant changes to your circumstances, regardless of where you live.

If you failed to comply with the agreement in theory proceedings could bebrought against you whilst abroad (including petitioning for a new bankruptcy if you have already been discharged) but in practice this would be very unlikely.
