when to offer token payment

i have started recieving demands for full payment or they will pass to collection agency is it to late to offer token paymetn once collections agency involved and how long does it take if they get baliff involved ,thanks x

As a general rule token payments are rarely worth making.

The chances are that they won't prevent debt collection procedures escalating and they delay you from looking for a permananent solution.

Bailiff action is relatively rare, however, and tends to be used by authorities for the collection of tax and rates, but from the start of legal proceeding the quickest that a bailiff could get involved would be about one month.
