Sign them before you go to Court, but there will be an affdavit for you to swear and sign which has to be done in the presence of a Clerk of the Court.

Can I just ask - I am in the process of filling the forms for BR but when filling the expenditure parts in it only asks for essential spending - should this include contingency or is this something they allow separately from the essential spending?

I was told not to sign the forms until I got to court - I had to sign them in front of the clerk.

I included a contingency allowance in my I & E but that was disallowed - I presume any contingency has to come out of my surplus.

We signed ours before we went to court. The clerk checked them through, we swore the oath and then she took the fees.
What I would say about the I&E is be honest and realistic with the amount you put down. It seems as if it depends on the OR/OR assistant that you get to deal with your case. Some seem more lenient with allowances and what they include as income than others.

we were told by the court not to sign the forms until the day in front of the clerk like skippy, on your i+e list everything you spend per month, include haircuts, holidays, dental and prescriptions at the end of the day they can only say no and disallow things.

I asked for holiday allowance, we were allowed £70 per month, yet another poster wasn't even allowed money for glasses/health costs.
Like I say, depends who's desk your file gets put on.....

Have a look at this, it's a good guideline.

Well done sjw. You must be so relieved now it's done and dusted. When we first moved we'd had the phone turned off for months we weren't use to it ringing and used to think it was the tv!!! lol
Best of luck for your debt free future

That must be the hardest part out of the way now sjw[:)]

Don't worry about the notice in tha paper as I don't know anyone who would read them or has time to read them. Don't get the paper if it is going to upset you.

Very Best Wishes
