I am an IFA and have just met a client with an IVA. She has not made apayment on it since July 07. She has married changed her name and address in the interim and not informed either the provider or the court of her whereabouts, what is the situation for her?

I suspect the IVA is now in default. Depending upon the circumstances the Supervisor might have started Bankruptcy Proceedings against her or terminated the IVA.

You can check here http://www.insolvency.gov.uk/bankruptcy ... search.htm

To ascertain the status of the IVA.

Assuming the IVA is still open, frankly it makes sense to advise your client to get in touch with the Supervisor.

Hope this helps
