I'm going through a tough time at the moment and my friends on here and FB are being such a rock to me. I'm not thinking very rationally today and mentally not in a good place, but you're keeping me sane!

To show what a great forum this is, I made friends with a poster who no longer posts on here and successfully completed her IVA with a F&F but this is what she sent me via text;

Lesley I am so sorry things are really bad at the moment. You are one of the strongest people I know. I know it's been a long hard road since you made that leap to contact Mel Giles but you have 18 months left and a new beginning is within reach for you. Then you can put all this behind you and be happy. If I had the money I would pay a F&F for you without hesitation so you could start anew right now. H is truly an inspiration and I hope my daughters grow up as strong and resilient as she has. She is a wonderful credit to you and I know you are both being strong for each other. Please take care, all my love and plenty of hugs for you both. xx

I keep re-reading it and I know I've been irrational and silly on FB and want to stop that as I do tell my children if they do what I'm doing but just want you all to know I appreciate every one of those messages as much as I do the one above. K doesn't post any more but we've met a couple of times and stay in regular contact.

Alongside this I have my eldest daughter in hospital with a suspected fractured spine, MRI scan tomorrow and a possible transfer of hospitals. It never rains does it?
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Great post Lesley and I know what you mean. I have made such good friends on here and have met you and a lot of others. If I won lots of money Lesley I would pay your IVA off as well as my own.

The invite is open to you to come down here with your daughter if you need a break.

I hope your eldest is ok.

Couldn't agree more Julie. Some of us have become really good friends off forum and I do agree that it wouldn't have happened if we weren't in debt!

We're here for you Lesley - know you are going through a difficult time right now. You know where we are.

Lesley. The main thing is that you look after yourself. You do have some wonderful friends, both in RL and from here on the forum. All of us here are in this together and you must never feel as though you're on your own (I know you're not).
In the heat of the moment and when things become a bit too much we all are guilty of saying and doing things that are out of the norm. Don't ever feel embarrassed or upset by that. In my view, much better to off load than bottle it all up.
Take strength from you family and friends and I am keeping you and your daughter in my thoughts. xxx

I hope she's ok as well Lesley. I'm sure she will be.

You have struggled so much with the IVA and one thing and another - it's about time you got a break!

Thanks, she is now on morphine and finally she is comfortable! They were wanting to arrange transport for her to go to Queens Medical in Nottingham today but have only just managed to control her pain!

Tomorrow I think she is going now. I'm going to see her tonight and will know more then.

I'm having granddaughter all week as luckily being half term I'm off. x

You'll love having her with you!

She had a fall week last Tuesday believe it or not Jan and fell onto her son who was riding his bike, fell on her hip she thinks but can't remember! Didn't think much of it but ever since the fall, she's had pain in her bottom and it's gradually got worse and worse to the point that she couldn't stand but in the interim she's been walking and looking after kids etc.,! Think it's connected but don't know for sure. x

Fingers crossed that she gets answers, and permanent pain relief soon. Nothing worse than back problems. I suffer sometimes but mine is only muscular!

Hurts like hell though!

Just got home from hospital, with a walking frame I managed to get her to the wet room and shower and wash her hair, she is having morphine but still in pain and is catheterised but wouldn't have a bed bath insisted I took her to the shower, she's bent over like an old lady and she's 26! Just awaiting the MRI Scan and then hopefully they can diagnose her and begin treatment. Heartbreaking to see her in so much pain but so glad I could help. x
