Signed and sent back my proposal today...it`s been thirteen weeks since I paid anyone. After I initally informed my creditors of my intention to propose an IVA,three of them have never tried to contact me other than to send statements and default notices, some have sent the odd letter and left a few messages on my answer machine. Halifax, Co-op and Barclaycard have been pretty constant (give or take a couple of lulls) in their pursuit, via mail and leaving messages on my answer machine.
My contingency fund has been seriously eroded by the death of my TV and some kitchen appliances, but I must now only be a few weeks away from my creditors meeting...hopefully salvation is almost upon me.

Hi Goosed,
Our creditors meeting was about 4 weeks after we sent the proposal back so not long for you then, fingers crossed for you that everything goes OK.

Hang in there goosed, your proposal will be with your creditors before you know it and hopefully then they will get the message and stop contacting you! Keep us posted as to how it all goes and hope the new additions to your electrical household don't let you down again!

Best wishes,

Fabulous and the team will get on it right away.

Have a great weekend - you've done all you can now, the rest is up to us and your creditors!

Meeting will be called on Monday if that is the case Goosed - and then held on 10 August 2010. Check that this will be OK with your shift patterns.

Excellent news for your meeting date, it seems like ages since mine, it's the best feeling ever once you get your acceptance.

That`s great Melanie, 10th August is ideal as I`m off the night before...Now everything`s finalised, I`m going to miss phoning Tom[:D], patience of a Saint he has.

Tom will soon be replaced by Laura and her lovely team in our Belfast office who will look after your case for me (assuming it is accepted!). But of course I'm always available if you want a natter.

I just meant that the proposal`s finalised Melanie, that`s all...I wasn`t taking it for granted that the IVA is going to be accepted, I know the hard work`s still to be done via the creditor`s meeting...I`m going to try and be optimistic though, I know I`m in the very best of hands.

Tom and I will work hard for you on the day, and I am sure all will soon be well as you are putting forward the very best proposal to your creditors. We will keep everything crossed this end.
