I'm going back on Saturday. I only need to lose 1 1/2 stone to get to goal (although it might be a bit more now!) so I need to get back to it - I want that certificate!

I've also decided I'm not going to bother going back to the gym - I hate it so I'm going to use EA Sports Active on the Wii and when the weather is better I'll start cycling again. There's no point doing something I don't enjoy.

I should be able to lose it by then Niobe. It doesn't really matter if I'm a few pounds short providing I'm nearly there!

I hate the gym too, I used to keep trying to go and keep it up but realised i just despised it, it's all about finding something you enjoy and can make part of your life rather than just doing it to hit a goal.

Will keep fingers crossed for better weather though Skip, from what I've heard we're in for a decade of wet summers apparently!

I don't mind cycling in the rain providing it's warmer than this!

I used to make myself go to the gym but it was a chore and I never stuck at it for long. I tried running but it hurts my back and knees so I had to stop that.

I agree if you don't like it why do it?

I'm not an exercise lover at all. I do enjoy walking and don't mind doing weights but the cardio stuff and the exercise classes are definitely not for me x

Depends on the gym -- I used to go to one which was great --- Gym every day ( sometimes twice ) and body pump class every weekend. They closed the club a few years ago and, although I have tried several other gyms I can't get back into it.

What annoys me though -- is, because of my medical history, every time I wanted to join a new gym I needed a letter from my doctor (at £25 a time!)

Anyway -- I have given up and gone to seed now.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
