Good evening. I am about to make my last payment on my IVA (month 60) In March 2013 we sent off all of our mortgage paperwork as requested by DFD so that we could have a valuation on our house to see if there was any equity. We have chased every month since for the valuation and we just keep getting palmed off that our paperwork is in a queue and we should have someone ring us shorty! We have got to the point where we feel DFD is holding out purposely for the house prices to rise.
We were also told last year by DFD that we owe an extra month due to missing a payment in month 2. I have asked at every year review if we are up to date and on schedule to finish December 2013 and every year we were told yes. I don't have bank statements going back to prove the payment so again frustrated that this has come up in the last year.
What can I do to push this along as we really have no idea what will happen after this last payment?
Any advice would be great. Thanks
Welcome to the forum ...and great news you are almost at the end of your IVA.
DFD have one of their people linked to the forum, Judith ... It might be worth looking under the Meet the Experts tab and contacting her to escalate this issue ...her details can also be found under the A-Z list of members.
Have you kept your attempts to resolve in writing ? If you still have not heard at the time you believe your IVA has finished then you will need yo make contact again to confirm standing order can be cancelled .. I would do this by phone and then follow up in an email, adding the persons name.
