Good Morning Everyone,

Crikey I must of been tired last night it's the first time since our daughter was born that I've slept later than nine on the weekend.

Feeling pretty ok today, except for all the creditors phoning, although it was a relief to just say to one I'm going through an IVA so you should here within a couple of weeks. They are horrible people though he just put the phone down on me!! How long will they all continue to phone for? I don't really want to change my number because then you get all the questions from family asking WHY?

One other question is do you have to give your passports in to anyone? I'm not planning a holiday for a while but the thought of going nowhere for the next five years is quite grimicing (spelt that wrong havn't I)

Sorry to go on but another one is both me and hubby smoke, in our financial statement £70 per month has been put in - will this likely to be accepted, has anybody else beed given a smoking allowance. I am planning on going to the docs after all this is done and I'm well on my way into the IVA but at the monent I cant even think about smoking (it's the only thing calming me down)

Thanks everybody for all youre continued support it really is helping.

big hugs and xx from me and hubby

Hey Trina, glad you had a sleep in. I'm not an expert but I don't think there is a seperate allowance for smoking although it could come out of any contingency fund, I'm sure an expert will know more than me about that. You won't lose your passport, there are lots of people in IVAs who go on holiday abroad, most are funded from a kind family member![:)] Viki X

Hi Trina,

Creditors are a pain! Mind you, at least he put the phone down rather than try and bully you into paying any money.

Could you not tell your family that you have been getting dodgy phone calls and so need to change your number because of that?

A few years ago we had calls from a phone box late at night - nothing sinister, just people who thought it was funny. We changed our number. Perhaps you could try that tack with your family.

If not, then just hang in there and be strong when they ring. Don't let them bully you.

You're on your way to an IVA.

I have no problem in making an allowance for smoking (would be hypicritical if I did because I still enjoy the odd one with a glass of wine!), but often the creditors will not allow this - and we all know that the best thing is to give up!

Hi Trina

Hope you are okay.

I started to feel instantly better once all the paperwork started being sent off to Melanie and her team. I spend ages getting it all batched together and sending it on. Once it is popped in the post box that's it forgot about, I know that Melanies team will be in touch if there is a problem.

Good luck on your journey and maybe you could join everyone at the next frugal friends meeting in Bradford.......I am hopefully going. XX

Marie I'm with Melaine, well I have just send the authority letter off and am getting the rest sorted.

Feeling really quite positive tonight after reading a few posts, just dragged hubby of the sofa to read them to. although it is quite annoying as he takes ages!![:D]

Viki, when did you start the process? have you had yours approved yet?

Doesn't seem like you can go wrong when you have Melanie, read loads of positive feedback, I've probably jinxed myself now by putting that havn't I!!
