we are about to start down an IVA - we have an old caravan worth £2 - 3k - does this have to be included - as it will be the only way we can give the children a little holiday for the next few years

Hi ggr

Gosh the forum seems to be full of caravans this week! Must be getting close to the holiday season!

I have been in this situation before and successfully argued that a modest caravan, which would be worth very little if it were to be towed away and sold at auction, ought to be left out of the proceedings. Of course it is technically an asset, so I would suggest that you offer to pay an additional three monthly payments at the end of the arrangement in lieu of its value.

What does your own IP advise?
