I'm so sorry but feel that some posts (not many but some) on here are really negative, I mean especially to new members. Please keep your humour but it's really easy to say bring it on etc. however not everyone on here has benefitted from such long term advice and support and people are really vulnerable and stressed.Hugs.

I'm afraid you will always get the negative posts and sometimes downright abusive (I've been the subject of a few of those in the past) as well as the usual spam postings.

If anything untoward is spotted then the poster is usually warned and possibly locked out if they continue.

Are you referring to anything in particular?

I've just seen the thread I think you are referring to. My comments about court are light hearted ones and designed to show that the creditors can do nothing and they are the ones that would look stupid if they did take you to court.

oscar people that use the forum especially new ones need to know that once in a iva these threats and intimidation dont stand a chance of being followed through.its too give confidence to new posters that there is nothing for them to be afraid of.if it was me i would just tell them to sling there hook and do whatever they want court wise as i would know that they would not go down that route anyway, but if nobody tells you these things you would be very worried.stick around and keep putting your veiws across[:)]

Hi Oscar
Please don't feel the need to worry !

The thread referred to has brought out an interesting divergence of opinions and your caring concern is much appreciated by all.

I agree with back on track. It's important that new posters are aware that creditors cannot do anything once their IVA has been approved and there is nothing to worry about. When I was BR I had a phone call from Tesco trying to make me pay them and saying that I had to do so. Because I knew what they couldn't do I could stand up to them and they didn't intimidate me. Forewarned is forearmed!

We all make the forum great - I couldn't manage without it.

I don't eat sweets though so no problems there!!

I don't think any of us realised just how many people were in the same position as ourselves.

I just want to help others - I'll never have an overdraft again that's for sure!!!
