I know I have already posted our story in here how we are finally debt free.

Well, I just wanted to say - in 2 days we are gong on our first debt free holiday, and what a holiday it is. We are off to Euro Disney with my 3 stepchildren and we are all so excited. I never thought I would be able to go on a holiday like it, but here I am off to meet Mickey and Minnie.

So, to those who have just started or are in the middle of their iva - at the moment it may feel like there is no end, but you will get there and the feeling is great. xx[:)][:)]
Its now time to start living and to make some some wonderful memories!

Wow having been there 6 times with my kids all I can say is you will have a fab time.

Well done on becoming debt free, when we are in your shoes we are planning on saving for florida, that thought is the only thing getting me throw all of this, but it will be worth it in then end.

Enjoy yourself.........take them to Club Mickey one night for tea, its expensive but well worth it you get a visit to your table from mickey, minnie, pluto, donald and daisy plus others with loads of time for photos and cuddles[:D]

Hope you have loads of fun. I finished my IVA and saved the payments for five months then had a blow out shopping trip, spent loads but no debt. I think its a good thing to treat yourself at the end of an IVA. You'll love euro Disney. Well done

Plastic daft -same here. Trouble is it wasn't just Florida, it was New York and Canada as well - all funded by plastic and loans.

Well when you both finish your Debt Jan and Paul you can experience a debt free holiday with NO plastic and no dreaded bills to come home to. I have managed to put money aside throughout my IVA for the occasional cheap couple of nights away from travel zoo etc and I tell you what it's lovely knowing you paid in full with no bill to worry about coming home to makes such a difference whilst you are there.

Even after my IVA I intend on saving for things like I do now if I want them and pay in full. It all sounds good having interest free credit or 4 years to pay something back but really in the end you just pay more for something with the stress of knowing you owe the money and if you ever have job worries or pay cut you could very well end up back where you started in debt with not enough money to pay!

No, my new philosophy of once the money runs out I have to wait till next month works well for me and will continue to work well for me post IVA. Well apart from the occasional visit to the bank of Mum and Dad for an emergency like a birthday drink up lol. Hey I've always paid them back :P
