I'm looking into an IVA, but I'm also looking to move to the USA mabye in 2010. Would I still be able to move as long as I pay the monthly payments or am I tied to the UK for the period of the IVA?

There is nothing to stop you moving and continuing to pay from abroad. Many people do and we even had a client move to China from where the payments were made.

I have a few clients living in the US - and as Michael says there is no problem in paying your IVA contributions from there.
