Skippy I attended a motivational workshop last week held by 4 time Olympian Brian Steele. It was very good and was brilliant listening to his story of how he got to the Olympics and he brought his silver and bronze medals with him, sadly he never made gold before he retired.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

I am not that interested either, will watch the Womens 1500 metres (as I used to run it for Mid Warwichshire in the late 70's)
and maybe Tom Daly in those ever so skimpy trunks [:D][:D]

anything else not really interested
If life is what you make it, I must have been in a strange mood when I made mine

There's nothing lovely about this country any more. The Olympics are just an excuse for more corporate greed, i.e. McDonalds banning chips and Visa banning Mastercard. Add to that the drug cheats who are allowed to compete and there's not a lot to look forward to!

I love most sports and always watch the Olympics but I can't help thinking that this is a giant white elephant that we'll be lumbered with for generations. I want to be excited but there's too much wrong with it!

Even the words 'Olympics' and 'Games' and 'London 2012' are copyrighted so no-one can use them unless they've paid for the pleasure!!

It isn't about national pride or community spirit...those sentiments are just being exploited to get us to buy crap at an extortionate price because it has an olympic logo or a flag on it.

If it was all about community spirit...why are the blood service not even allowed to mention the olympics in their radio ads calling for people to help with bloodstocks before "the big sporting event this summer".
