Not only have I had another warning from the admin over there to stop mentioning this site and iva.com it seems they have been trawling my posts and deleting those with said references in !!!!!

Obviously feeling very insecure !!!!

I suppose it looks like advertising in their mind Foggy. I do use the other site a lot, not really for IVA stuff though as that particular board is not as heavily trafficked as this one, my biggest gripe with both though is that I think the 'other' forum can sometimes be a little too close to the knuckle and I think this one can sometimes be a bit too far the other way, a happy medium for both would be nice

We would freely signpost people to theirs if we thought it would help. Strange but if they don't feel happy with it I guess they make the rules.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Just been over and I see what you mean, perhaps it might be better for us to suggest people have a look at other IVA forums instead without giving a direct link? (if you put IVA forum into google it brings this site up as that's how I found it)

Apparently other posters have complained that I am pressuring people into going with a particular company by directing them to a comparison site and suggesting they speak to several companies !!!!

I would add that I don't harp on about this site in all of my posts, only those where I think the poster would benefit (especially those wishing to compare companies).

Anyhooo - their loss. I do find some of the advice given there to be way off the mark at times though!

it certainly is, I've just had a little rant on one of the threads at someone giving totally incorrect information!

I am pretty sure I have seen both rants, I do love dropping a few hand grenades into "the sun shines out of CCCS backside and they can do no wrong" brigade myself. Very poor show when a forum purportedly set up to encourage money saving can do little more than bang on at people to live on fresh air for unreasonably long periods to line creditors pockets.

I saw one poor lady admitting that CCCS refused to allow any expenses whatsoever for her children. No school meals, trips, pocket money etc etc. As she has 5 of them, that is an absolutely scandalous position to adopt.

Regards.

Just read that myself Mike, I'd be interested to hear CCCS's position on that one

Don't hold your breath, they are not very good at explaining away that sort of criticism. I also accept, by the way, that sometimes it is right and propoer to encourage people to meet creditors halfway, but that particular one goes way beyond acceptable standards of "cutting your cloth accordingly". Well, in my opinion at least, that is.

Im sure the £87 million Money Supermarket just paid for it will denote its "unconditional fairness and non bias approach".

Hmmm!

Spooky. Just looking at that news myself.

Some of that is based on future performance of the site, i.e. it's profitability. Does that mean that the site has been a money spinner all along and that we have had the wool pulled over our eyes? Or does it mean it will become one, therefore blowing away all pretence of impartiality?

Regards.

I think it generates about £15m a year in revenue Mike, mainly from links/clicks.

Will be interesting to see what happens when moneysupermarket take over, I have to say though that I have managed to drop on quite a few bargains from finding out about them on there, but again this is due to information from other posters rather than Mr Lewis himself
