Sorry but I know what you are trying to say Jan and Lem, but I still think it's easy to say this if it's not you, and if you are so drunk you may not have the sense at the time that you usually do have to know not to sign, that's just my opinion.

Everyone's entitled to their opinion at the end of the day. I thought this forum was meant to be non judgemental

Best wishes.

Oscar, this forum is non judgmental, but we do all have opinions which posters are entitled to either agree or disagree with, healthy debate is good for us all.

My argument is that signing for financial products whilst under the influence of alcohol is one thing, but you can't honestly accept that the person only decided a few months down the line when they have spent all that money that it was missold because they were drunk at the time?

thanks, I get your point Lem, but I still think the comments left for this post are very harsh because noeone knows the actual circumstances of the original poster that I know of. If I received comments like this I just wouldn't bother. Best wishes

A warning is given to patients about to go under sedation that they cannot sign any legal documents for 24 hours.

Proving oneself as drunk is impossible without a blood alcohol reading,or a breathalyser reading.

Hi,

I would think it would depend on the original posters circumstances. Was there a witness to the signing of the contract?

I don't think anyone is being judgmental only pointing out that it's nigh on impossible to prove that a person is under the influence of drink or drugs after the event, which is fact rather than a personal opinion.

I see your point Oscar. The forum is great for support and advice, we just need to be careful at times that personal opinion doesn't come across as harsh.

Hope your dogs are okay Oscar, ours isn't bothered at all by the fireworks. Althought the "banging" is getting on my nerves [}:)]

Oh god, I have built a 'thunder cupboard' under the stairs and one in the bottom of my wardrobe upstairs and I have music and tv on in every room. Just glad for them when its all over.

Oscar -- my nan used to have a "thunder cupboard" under the stairs, which we all retreated to in thunderstorms. I thought only she had one !
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

I don't have anywhere they can go - we have TV on loud but the little one is really bad at the moment.

I love thunderstorms and the dogs don't mind them. It's just fireworks they hate.

Our Taz appears to enjoy them!!! Thats chocolate labs for you.

Took him for a walk earlier and he just stood wagging his tail(as always)while looking skyward watching the colourful rockets.
