I was on my way to the Gym just before work at 5am this morning near some Multi-Storey flats and saw 4 Police vehicles, 2 CID, loads of officers, a corden and a white tent been erected.....

A murder occurred at another block of flats last week and I was thinking another one?? I really hope no one has died.

As it turns out 2 people have, a man and a woman plunged from the 11th floor. Not sure if accident, double suicide or a murder suicide. So glad I could not see the bodies. My deepest sympathies to the families in this senseless loss of life.

Yeah. Article has been updated. Seems it was a double suicide. 20 yr old woman and 23 yr old guy. Someone must have seen them sat on different window ledges I think and called the Police who has gone into the flat and as they have done so they have jumped [:(]

For two people to kill themselves like this I wonder what drove them to it.

Yeah it is on Sky and other newspapers sites as well. Suppose the double suicide element combined with the horror of a fall from that height making it nationally newsworthy.

I really feel for the poor people who had to see it and deal with it as well as many of the residents saw the bodies. Would give me nightmares I think.

That's awful. I feel sorry for the people who have to deal with the aftermath of something like that.

I really, really hate the Sun though - their 'reporting' is appalling and you can tell they want to blame the police for this.

What I have noticed Jan is that the 7 or 8 srticles I have read from Local rag, BBC, Sky, Sun and Daily Mail they all use quotes from same witnesses etc. The articles are 80% the same. I think these guys must be ripping each other off when writing articles!

No age to end it all and understanding why people take such action is still a mystery.

My son's fried leaped from a tourist attraction to his death two years ago, those close to him find it hard to come to terms with and my sympathies are with the ones dealing with this. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

It just seems so senseless. I can't even comprehend what the families will be going through.

A few years back I discovered a chap who had electrocuted himself by wrapping wires around his wrists and plugging himself in. I met his wife outside the building and she asked me how she would explain to her 14 year old daughter that her Dad was gone forever.
I didnt have an answer.

But if anyone thinking about it,considers the life of a loved one left behind, they may well stop and reconsider for long enough to get help!!

Jesus Paul that is awful [:(]

I'll be honest here twice in my life I have been suicidal (Once a year before I started the IVA and when my marriage ended). You hit the nail on the head about thinking of those left behind because that is what stopped me from doing anything silly. I just realised how selfish of me it would be to do so sought help from family and friends.

If you are that intent on ending your life then you don't consider your loved ones.

I do think that suicides are selfish but you have no idea what is going through their minds at the time.
