You could always borrow the £4,000 from your daughter and use it to top up the shortfall in your disposable income until it runs out, by which time you wife may have employment or even be drawing her pension. If there is no way forward at that time, you have a much better chance of getting a full and final settlement accepted as you will be far nearer the end.

backontrack
i have a simular clause in my iva, that if anyone over the age of 18 ever lives with me then it would be reasonable to expect them to help with housekeeping to free up more money to be paid into my iva, again this could apply to my daughter who will be nineteen by the time my iva ends, but then it will all depend on what she is doing at that time.

towards the end of that time i will also loose tax credits and child benifit, am hoping to be able to save some money over the next 4 years in preperation for this, if not i will eat cereal for a year rather than let my iva fail at that point.

IVA accepted 6th May 2011, Full and Final accepted 17th April 2012.

We lost our child tax credit recently - Grant Thornton has reduced our IVA by the payment we lost. But I'm having a panic, would rather that a mini review or something was done. We've have pay rises etc but not much. Hopefully everything will be ok by review time. I always get nervous.

I think what Mel has suggested seems reasonable. I hope that you get this resolved.

Hi briggadean,
I'm glad grant Thornton were able to reduce your payments regarding the loss of income. If you have a change in circumstances a review can be carried out anytime, you don't have to wait for the annual review.
GT now have a representative on here called Karol, whom I'm sure will pick this up. I'm sure you will be fine, try not to worry. If Karol misses this give GT a ring or send them a email x
Final IVA payment made in April 2013, never ever thought we could do it or get through it but we did! X

Hi Brigadeen

It is not a problem for Grant Thornton to conduct a review of your case and can be done at any time. Please email ivacustomerservices@uk.gt.com with "IVA Forum" in the subject line - I look forward to hearing from you,
Kind Regards
Karol
