Rainbowhills, I am sure you are doing your best and if you can't get a full time job then that's not your fault - there aren't that many around at the moment!

I would certainly speak to your IP about the modification if you are not able to get a job. I agree with Michael that it is a little harsh.

I don't know if I could just get 20 hours cleaning and not 35 would it be a breach do you think?

I have no idea RH - I do know how hard it is to get full time jobs now, my daughter has just had to accept full time hours at Asda and she has a degree!

I would certainly speak to you IP and run things past them. If you cannot get full time hours that is not your fault.

Which company are you with?

Hi
It is very hard to work if all your income is going to repay debts, I can understand your concerns rainbowhills and I think you need to be clear in your own head about exactly working will benefit you and your creditors.
Have a good chat with your IP

They are very reputable, and it is probably me that is causing all the confusion here.I do need to speak to them as you say.
My main worry here is that it states i must seek full time work of 35 hours, but if I can only find work of say 20 hours then I don't think I would even be earning the 10% that they say we can keep over our income. So I don't think they would get any, anyway . So will they say that that is a breach?
Hope you understand

We do understand and it is something you need to discuss with your IP - they maybe able to take this back to your creditors who are only human at the end of the day and they do know the financial climate at the moment.

I agree with what kallis has said, if you try and get work without success then you can do no more, and this shouldn't be held against you. It would be unfair for you to be put under the extra stress of being made to find work when work isn't available. But as long as you keep trying, then no one can ask anymore from you.

Like Kallis has said, highly qualified people are having to take jobs which are far below their abilities because the graduate jobs are not there anymore. This then creates a void for us less qualified as the graduates have taken the jobs we would normally get.

Yes you are right there.
I am now looking for a job with pay at minimum wage.I would never of dreamed of doing that before I got made redundant.
I am just so worried that by finding a job with less than 35 hours would breach the IVA like it sort of states. On minimum wage, I wouldn't be earning enough for them to start taking the 50%
I will phone them on monday
thanks
I havent even got a job yet though!!!!
