Thinking of a change of job/or asking for pay increase ??
If i get a new job which has a higher salary than i currently earn will this increase affect my IVA payments ? Or is it worth actually not worth doing either ?[:)]
I think it's totally worth doing John, not just to pay your creditors back more but so you can have more money when your IVA is finished. Don't forget there might be an increase in expenditure so it wouldn't all go to the IVA. Good luck. X
Any new salary would probably mean a new income and expenditure form needs done and any freed up income would go into the iva pot.
Some IP's may allow some of your increase to be kept as an incentive, but you would have to talk to your own Ip about this.
Discharged today the 8th feb 2012. View is much brighter now.

Hi
Common sense should prevail and any income increase should be split 50/50
Check it out with your IP and get something in writing or on an email

If it's a cost of living pay rise, I think the majority of IP's allow you to keep this.

Same here Plasticdaft! I've been doing the same job for 6 1/2 years - it's pretty well paid for what I do, so unless I go into management (which I don't fancy) or change jobs completely (and take a pay cut, which isn't an option) I'll probably be here for the next 6 1/2!
I can't actually think of anything I want to do that I don't need qualifications for, or where I wouldn't have to start completely at the bottom and take a paycut. As Dave is self employed I can't risk doing that as at least we know what I've got coming in each month.
