OKay, its been a while since I have been on here but just to let everyone know I hav epaid my Final part of Full and Final as had to pay in 2 parts.

Does anyone know exactly what should happen now and how long should it be before I receive completion and it is taken off the IVA register?

Cheers for any help

It is likely that your IP will be ready to close down the file on receipt of the second payment so you should receive your certificate very soon and the register is amended soon afterwards. I would think 2-4 weeks in total.

Brilliant news irish_ram! I am sure your certificate will be through soon.

Good luck for the future - let us know how you are getting on.

Thats good, I have waited these 2 years to get it sorted so a few more weeks I can handle.

Cheers for everyones support, before I came onto this board I was looking at ways of getting out of my IVA and luckily the advice I got on here kept me in it and looking at the alternative of a F&F which is done now.

I know it will be on my record for another 4 years but it feels so good to be actually getting paid and not having any debts to bite at my hard earned money anymore.

Thank you all again

Ok a bit of an update

Finally after months of them having cashed my cheque back in august I think they have sent me the completion letter.

I rang them and they advised it could take up to 60 days at least to update credit file and Insolvency Register. Is this correct?

Also does anyone know whatI should receive from them as all i have got is a letter and wondered if this was all I was going to get.

And what does it say on your credit report once settled as at the moment I think it says current and 0 balance

Cheers

Hi irish_ram and nice to see you again.

It does seem to have taken a long time to complete, I would have thought that it should have been sorted a long time ago.

The letter is probably all you are going to get and as long as it says you have completed, then that should be ok. Just keep checking the Insolvency Register to make sure that your name drops off.

Make sure that you have no defaults registered after your IVA was approved. If there are then you need to write to those creditors and tell them to remove the defaults.

Cheers kallis3,

I kept chasing them as seemed very long but they kept saying it is being processed.

I have just checked my credit report and says IVA and balance 0 and settled date has nothing in it but that has been like that even before I paid my F&F

Also checked Insolvency Register and is still on there saying current.

Is there anyone I can chase to make sure my IVA people are doing the correct things on time as if they took several months to complete my IVA then with christmas I dont want them being slow in getting the right info to the courts etc

Now it's completed you shouldn't have any problems but I would keep an eye on the register.

If your IP has closed the case, there is very little you can to to speed up its removal from the Insolvency Register.

Ok so I know people have said there is not much I can do once the IVA has completed but I got the Completion letter on 20th december roughly and it has still not been removed from the register or my credit file.

I am getting a bit worried now as seems to be nothing happening with it.

Also does my completion date start from when I got the letter or from when it leaves the register/credit file as the difference at the moment is about 2 months + so far

Get your former IP to query this with the Registrar of IVAs. Your completion date runs from the time that the case was closed.
