I am very sorry, It has been explained to me the reason for all the delays. Unfortunatly Thomas Charles also have to rely on third parties. I have been given other options, let's hope things start moving again and we can end this nightmare soon. I am very frightened and not coping very well, my nerves are bad and depression has moved in. My adviser has been very helpfull and a piller of strength.
Thank you very much for your fast reply and sorry for any inconvenience.

Hi Helen
Just came to say hello. Try not to let it all get to you. When you are trying to sort these things out it seems like an age when you are waiting, try to stay calm and not let the worry get the better of you. Getting too down is not going to change anything, we are all here if you need a chat and a bit of support.

No thanks necessary helen the forum is not just for the technical stuff. Any worries or queries you have just ask and someone will always answer. Nothing could be worse than the weather at the moment I have had a weeks annual leave and every time I step out the door it rains (whoever's been singing please stop) [:)]

as long as its not the fat lady.

Hi Helan p, you are right to feel scared and alone right now, its a really stressful time but you are doing something about your debts and in time you will better, I promise. I understand totally how you are feeling and when I first joined this forum I thought, why does everyone seem so matter of fact? its the end of the world and I cant cope, how can they??? I think its such a shock when you realise how bad/worse your situation is when you have to face it and panic sets in but its Ok, go out there and hold your head up high, you are facing it now and although the journey might seem daunting and scary you are not alone, you are one of us now, be brave, be strong and be happy.

LILY

fly me up to where you are beyong the distant star, I will wish upon tonight, to see you smile, only for a while, to know youre there, a breath away is not too far, to where you are.

I am scared of the debt collectors, I am scared they are going to come for me at work and ruin my relationship with my co workers and my boss, which is so good. My boss respects me and I am scared of loosing that.
But thank you for the support.

Helen please don't worry about debt collectors. Most of the letters that you receive are empty threats, and a debt collector has no powers as such. I cannot imagine for one minute that they are going to come to your work, so please try not to worry

Helen as skippy says dont worry they are not allowed to go to your work or discuss anything with anyone other than yourself it is illegal, and as said usually empty threats. Pass letters straight to your Ip and they will deal with them. If you get calls dont be pushed into paying anything other than if instructed by your ip and if anyone is rude or aggressive just say you are ending the call and put the phone down. We have all been through it unfortunately it is the norm but saying that I only had one aggressive creditor and they didnt even vote. We are all here if you get fed up and we avn moan together.

Hi Helen

I can echo what others are saying.

The rules for debt collection are strict and they can not turn up to your work place as this is called harrasement and there are quite strong laws against this.

Perhaps the only thing they can do is call you at your work place by telephone if they have a number. The best way to deal with this is to say "I am busy and if you leave me your number I will call you later"

I found that when I did call them back they were quite unprepared and I was in a quite strong of mind I had quite a bit of fun seeing them trying to find my details!

Seriously try and get to the point when the IVA is proposed and it will then start to quiten down for you!

Anyway keep your spirits up!
