That is great news - for you and Northern Rock who are getting a fairly good return. Well done especially to your IP - can you tell us who they are as they deserve a big pat on the back!

DFD, way to go... I have been defending them as some punter on this site previously have said were an IVA factory and lacked that personal touch...they brought Clearstart that took care of me.

Anyway, about the pensions thing - I really think Creditors should NOT have gone for that payment-evil! We all need a work pension and not paying into it for 5 years?? We need at least 40 years of contributions theses days to get a full and final salary pension!

It is still a victory for you at 63p to the pound contribution for 82K -but I think it is expensive deal with NR pushing it up!!

Mine was 49p for 93K with HSBC on board pushed up from 46p

Well done anyway.

my IVA was only accepted by stoppping my pension contributions to increase my £250 a month to £300 (72k total debt)

i considered it a fair deal to get my IVA approved considering how much i owed. i plan to make additional contributions after the IVA has finished to 'reclaim' back my lost 5 yrs.

i think if stopping pension contributions for 5 yrs is the only way to push through an IVA it has to be done really
