Hello All

As per my previous posts last week, I have been trying to arrange a payment break for two months for house move, loss of job and so on but cannot get hold of my supervisor! The staff are very helpful but just quote rules at you and are powerless to make decisions.

We have been trying for a whole week and have left messages and sent emails and so on. I have had to cancel this months standing order as it would have left us with no living money (food and fuel) as we couldn't authorise it before it was due to go out.

What can I do now?, and if it fails due to this, can we start up another IVA taking into account our new circumstances (husband started a new job today [:)]) so we are able to maintain our current level of contributions confortably.

Many thanks.

Hi Gemini

If you have only missed this payment I dont see a problem as I'm sure you have to miss 3 payments before you are in default. If I'm wrong I'm sure somebody will be along to correct me.

Its terrible that nobody can give you an answer to your request despite all your attempts to agree it before cancelling the payment. Which company are you with?

Dave

Many thanks for your comments!

We had to miss June as well but that was authorised with the admin staff before hand. July will be the second payment.

We are with Accuma who have been very helpful but I have only every spoken to my Supervisor once when things went wrong before.

Why can't you get hold of the supervisor? Why not ask for a copy of their personal e-mail address, and then put read and delivery receipts on the mails so at least you know they have got your messages. I am sure that they will respond as soon as they are able. Do you have a case manager looking after your case you could also try and speak to, or does the Supervisor make all decisions?

Thank you for your reply Melanie

We do not have a case manager, you just deal with whoever answers the phone. It is hard to get through to our supervisor as the staff always try to put you off. I have an email address for her and have also sent her a letter, there's not much more I can do.

hi im with the same company and had exactly the same problems as you. Luckily My ip read the forum and posted his personal line number for me to contact him. I know when you ring the staff are very reluctant to give you that info but if they cant answer your question they need to give you some way to talk to your ip.

Having read you case notes and talked to your case administrator, I understand that you are looking for a 6m payment break. As this is outside your supervisor's discretion it is necessary to obtain the agreement of your creditors. Your creditors will want to know why you are unable to keep up with your existing contributions, therefore before reporting to them it will be necessary to review your income and expenditure. One of my colleagues will contact you soon in order to discuss this in more detail.

Hello Accuma

We were looking to that option if my husband didn't find a job but he started a new one today! I think two months would suffice.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Hello gemini68

We have been trying to contact you today and left messages - have you changed your contact number? If so, would you be able to contact us on 0845 202 6759?

Thanks
