Anyone use these? I was thinking of using one to put the monthly agreed contingency amount on them and then keeping it in the safe and not my purse. Any of them good or to be avoided?
Completion Certificate received September 2012.

I have a Tuxedo Maestro card and I've had no problems with it. I pay £4.99 a month and can use it as many times as I want.

I was considering one for our emergency kitty, but was put off by the fact that you pay once to put your money in then pay again to take it out. Seemed like daylight robbery to me so our spare cash is in a tin in the cupboard?? Sorry maybe its the tight scotsman in me but I am not paying someone twice to hold cash for me.
Discharged today the 8th feb 2012. View is much brighter now.

Go to the Yorkshire bank and get yourself a nice masetro card....100% acceptance in the UK and Western Europe. No montly charge and you get a real statement and no horrendous 90p a minute 0990 prefix customer service calls. If you shop on the internet use PAYPAL.

Does anyone know if I can use my visa Electron abroad??? It's with the co-op cashminder account and I'd prefer not to take all cash with us when we go to Turkey but not sure if it'll be accepted.....Would be a nightmare if we took it and it weren't accepted....
It's nice to be back......

I was just going to post about Paypal ladyh, but you beat me to it! It does sound quite good.

Chris I don't know about your card. Perhaps if you check on the Co-op bank website it might tell you on there.

That sounds good Ladyh, I use paypal as I sell stuff on ebay and unless you transfer £50+ they charge you to put the money in your bank account. Might look into that one, thanks H, xx

Tuxedo have an 020 customer service number and it's free to load the card by bank transfer. It also only costs 50p to withdraw money from the card.

I tried Yorkshire Bank, but they won't give an account to undischarged bankrupts and he couldn't tell me their policy once you are discharged.

Cashplus are £4.95pm no fee to top on at a Post Office (I resent having to pay someone to give them my money that they then earn interest on) and transactions free ... wouldn't be without mine, use it frequently.

yeah I've been using a Cashplus Master card. Low fees, and I'm getting mine upgraded for car hire abroad. Can take a day for the cash to go on the card, when topping up the post office, and some staff don't really understand how it works, having to demonstrate how the scanner works, other than that, it's an essential for me!
