I've decided not to go to work for the next fews days at least. I might need to go back to docs anyway cause although the shingles is on my side I have developed a bit of an itchy rash on my face too!!

hi dee...i really sympathise with you...i also get shingles on my face...over the years i have had them 3 times....not good...esp. if your face swells.!!1...there is a really good website dealing with it you can order a cream which is excellent ...happy to send you details if you ask admin for my email...also if you get your doc to prescribe "acyclovar"...not sure if thats the correct spelling...but must be taken within 48 hours of starting so you may be too late...but handy to remember if it happens again

i was also advised to make sure i always used a very high sun factor...50 plus for facial shingles
