Hi holly - I'm sorry we have not met before on the forum but I just want to say hello x

As your with grant Thornton (so am I) I'm sure your in very good hands.

As a sufferer of depression & anxiety for most of my life, and I've been under the care of my GP & mental health team, I do know where your coming from! But please be assured most medication is there to help you wether it's addictive or not, the effects only appear when you stop taking them with out supervision of your GP. I've been on & off then for years & have never really suffered in any way, only not tackling my own issues & hiding again.

As for going BR sometimes it's the best solution as other options simply won't work for you. Your not a bad person for arriving at this conclusion it's just life as made this path for you.

I'm positive everything is going to be fine & please dont worry about the medication side of things x

Was a bit low again yesterday,v sleepy today, the anti depressants apparently can make you feel tired & nauseaus for a few wks, iv'e no appetite either - NOT GOOD AS I LOVE MY FOOD!!!!!Trying to get toast & soup down when i can, taking all my BR paperwork to solicitor on mon 30th April, then the process can begin, does anyone know when or if I need to ring CO- OP re telling them i'm going BR or will the OR let them know?I'm really worried in case the OR freezes my basic account& I can't access my sick pay, I need it every week to feed my partner & I.xo

Holly, once the pills kick in you should be ok. Hopefully you can start to eat again as well.

You don't need to ring the Co-op and make sure that the OR knows that this is your account for everyday living and I think it will be ok.

You know that we are here for you at any time Holly.

It seems like a rollercoaster of emotions for you right now. Keep trying to eat...you need the energy or you'll feel even worse. Sleep as much as you need though and let the medicine get to work! I can't offer any practical advice but wanted to give you a virtual hug ((())). You're doing a great job sorting everything! xx

Hi Holly,

The bank freezes the account not the OR, but the OR can make the bank release any funds. You can withdraw your money on the day of going BR and open up another basic account straight after. Try not to worry, the OR will help you.

Try and keep strong and eat something even if its chocolate! xx

I very much doubt that you will need to open another account Holly. As Julie says it's the bank who freeze the account, and when the OR notifies the Co-op that they have no interest in your account I'm sure you'll be allowed to keep it.

Hi ,thanks to everyone who has given advice & good wishes to me since I first posted, the anti depressants don't seem to have kicked in yet (on them 10 days today), still feel v overwhelmed, stressed & tearful,I'm still so worried about my bank freezing my a/c as my sick pay is literally feeding my partner & I every week, by the time my partner pays rent, petrol for the car, electric etc every week, he can't spare money to feed us both too, (I know posters say the basic cashminder a/c should be ok as the co-operative bank seem to be B/R friendly) but ive a debit card with the a/c, are they likely to take that off me?if they issue me just with a cash card will it have a different a/c no? my ssp is still being paid by my employer so if that is the case will I have to give him the new a/c no?going to a solicitor on monday to start the ball rolling. I feel dreadful & constantly feel sick, please help!!!

Hi again Holly, 10 days is a bit early for the magic beans to kick in -- but it won't be long. Hang on in there. If you are not eating much that won't help the nausea, try something like Lucozade to at least keep the blood sugar up.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
