I personally dread retirement. I want to keep working and keep active, I know I'm a lazy one and would just sit around on the computer if I didn't have to go to work. I think I might even become a recluse x

I can't wait to retire. I've the dogs to keep the body active and th computer to keep the mind active.

I'm quite anti social anyway so will enjoy the solitude.

Hate to say this Jan, but I am due to retire a week on Thursday[:D][:D]..I am like a coiled spring these nights when I leave work and the last few days have seemed so long. Cannot wait for the sense of freedom and not having to watch the clock. Have given myself 3 weeks for the boredom to set in and will have to find something constructive to do other than housework. Any suggestions??

I wish that was me!

You could come on here all day as I do when I'm at home!

Get yourself a dog or three to keep you fit?

I do patchwork and quilting and love it. Wish I could retire as I would fill my days with sewing and walking(not at the same time). Hubby would retire to his shed, so perfect. I am at the moment making dolly bags to fill for pressies for christmas for the people I work for.

Never had the patience for sewing.

We walk the dogs twice a day, hubby potters about during the day and does the cooking so we're sorted.

I am off this christmas for the first time in 4 years [:)] In fact I am off 25th,26th,27th AND the 28th!! My mother in law is doing the food so I plan on stuffing my face, drinking loads of cheap wine and slobbing in front of the telly while the ladies get on with the washing up [:D]
My thanks to Melanie and her team :)

[:D][:D]

I'm just off on Christmas Day and Boxing Day with hubby, parents, daughter and fiance. Hubby will be doing the cooking and the dishwasher will be doing the washing up!

I have made a good start on my christmas shopping. Laptop for my 12 year old and laptop for the 7 year old (bit young i know but those that know him and how clever he is will know why)
Also bought lots of various other things for the 2 youngest.
The older kids are all adults so will be getting money and just a few stocking fillers i think because trying to buy for any of them is getting impossible.

As for sewing........my mum does all mine. Its something i have never been good at.

I detest sewing in any form!!! Christmas is at the sister in laws this year so will hence make it cheaper for us. Need to crack on with the shopping though as not long now and got both our childrens birthdays before then. Will be different this year though without our old friend mister plastic. But quite exciting to pay it all from our hard earned money x
