Thanks ever so much.... am just so glad that I've managed to get another job without having to dip into the redundancy - just the situation I was wishing for!

Just need to get to grips with how much will need to go towards the IVA now!

Actual redundancy was £2k.... but I also got a payment which was in effect in lieu of notice, but they called it compensation for loss of office... that was £2.2k

I take it all your redundancy will have to go towards the IVA if you havent had to use it and are back in work.

I reckon it will have to.... which is a shame I was kind of hoping that they'd take off 10% and then take 50% of what was remaining which by my calculations would be £1890. Which would leave me £2310..... but that's a seriously big ask I think!

The redundancy would be captured as a windfall now that you are in work again I am afraid. Is anything broken in the house that needs fixed, may be worth asking IP to offset repairs for something rather than lose the lot?

I do need to get the car one of those major services - and want to make sure that everything is good with it before I start - the poor thing has never been treated to a service since I bought it!!!! And a new school uniform will be needed in the near future... they're not cheap!
