Good morning all ... as some of you are aware I've been struck down by a mysterious illness which appears to be age related even though I'm only a young 62 <I think>. I had a really bad night last night and my good lady managed to get a lift to work from one of her colleagues and left the house without disturbing me. When I woke up there was a folded piece of paper waiting for me which I thought I'd share with you instead of my usual sniggerette. Mrs Wizz is not the most poetic of people but I must admit I'm more than a little touched by the following .....

When you are old and tired and gray
Wear you overcoat on sunny days
When your brave tales have all been told
I'll ask for them when you are old

When you are old and full of sleep
And death no longer makes you weep
When your body aches with cold
I'll warm your heart when you are old

You'll still be the same to me
A comfort and a mystery
And I will be old too you see
I'll need someone to comfort me

When you are old and pale and gone
A gentle hand is all you want
I will give you mine to hold
And I'll be here when you are old
Yes I will give you mine to hold
And I'll be here when you are old

Cheered me up no end ... especially as she took time to write it out at 4.30 in the morning.
The best psychological health comes from admitting your faults and recognizing they're caused by someone else.

Oh Wizzz that's lovely, I've got a lump in my throat now.

I'm sorry you're having such a bad time. Have the doctors given you any idea what's wrong?

Ray that's so nice, what a lovely wife you have!

I'm sorry you're not feeling any better and I hope you get sorted really soon.

What a lovely thing to do. I hope the doctors manage to work it out and get you back on your feet properly again soon.
