I remember reading one of Melanies posts in which someone was enquiring about something and basically they shouldnt have done what they did without their IP's permission. Cant remember the exact details, sorry. In her reply she said they would have had a severe "scolding" and it made me giggle as it gave me a picture of a school mistress too. Haven't heard that word used since i used to read Enid Blyton books when i was young.!

Talking of cars.

Saturday here was a very cold day but Local garage had a special offer on car wash half price so took hubbys car in. Unfortuneately it was so cold it only half worked & came out the other end covered in bubbles.[:D][:I]water had frozen

I then had to go to Tescos parked as far away as possible in car park as I felt such a prat covered in suds& when I had come out they had all frozen and it was too cold to go out & do much about it.

But I did complain & get a free car wash ticket for when it it warmer.

Well done mrs skint!

Skippy - you're not the only one that posts jump out at! I reversed into one on a car park and wrote my car off a couple of years ago!! It wasn't behind me when I started!!!
I got some parking sensors for xmas!!

Glad it's not just me Pixie! Lamp posts are sneaky - they hide and jump out at the last minute! Luckily all I needed was a new bumper and fog light but I could have done without the £100 excess!

Well done Mrs Skint, keep up the good work! I don't know where I would be now without all the help, and kind words of support from everyone on this forum. It really does make a huge difference knowing there are wonderful people out there you can turn too during the dark times. I feel so different to the guy who first posted on here a few months ago. this forum can be such a lifeline!

p.s I thought the old school mistress thing had gone and I could finally put it behind me. You see I really wasn't saying Melanie was old, just reminded me of my old headmistress, old as in in the past not old looking. Anyway the jaffa cakes went down ok and there was no mention of it when I met Melanie so I think I got away with it, phew!
Best wishes
Mike

mike, your post really are an inspiration to anybody reading but too scared to post. You started off so scared and ashamed of yourself and over a few weeks we watched the posts grow more and more positive.
If you are not a good advert for how much this forum helps then i dont know what is

Gulp!!!
Right no-one mention it again or I think I could be in for a detention!

If anyone is about to meet, or speak to Melanie for the first time seriously don't be nervous, Melanie and her team are wonderful and you will feel at ease straight away (no sign of a cane anywhere I promise)
cheers guys
Mike
