Hi..weve had the same problem!weve been in the process of an iva with grant thornton for 5 month!!and last week was told that after having several talks with northern rock who are 25% of our debt that they would definatly say no so theres no point in even putting a proposal forward. So now after waiting all this time and not paying any debts we are back to square one!

Well I'm now back from holiday and can categorically confirm that there is always a point in putting IVA proposals in front of Northern Rock - but do accept that they have firm criteria and will only accept if they see that it is their best option.

I frequently get IVA proposals accepted by this creditor, but we are quite selective in those we choose to put forward. However, to suggest that they never accept IVAs is ridiculous.
