Hia, couldn't fit it all in here, but have a look at my blog, read a story that will hopefully convince you to do the right thing.

Hope this helps.

Hello

Liked your blog and I agree with everything you said and I am in an IVA as well and have no regrets.

Unless i have read your blog wrong, your girlfriend lives with you, but registered at living at her parents - so you can get 25% on council tax.

If this is the case watch it, this is allegal and if found out you could get an heavy fine which will but you back in debt and may cause your IVA to fail.

Its not just a case of your girlfriend registering at her parents, they can find out other ways -

Her post delivered to the house.
The address her employees have on file.
The address the banks have.
Were her car is registered, ie the address on the registeration form and same for insurance.

I know it saves about £25 a month, but i would declare she lives at your address and pay the extra money, after all you have that extra £100 a month which most of us in an IVA dont have

no matter how bad money gets, theirs stll alot more important things in life

Hia,

I wholeheartedly agree with you, but my girlfriend does spend alot of time with her parents, her mum is unwell and as such she spends a couple of nights a week at theirs. She's kept all her post going there too and nothing has been registered at our address. So, at least for the first year, we'll keep it that way. Not sure of the implication to my IVA if she "moves" in with me properly. No doubt her income (although low) would be taken into account when it comes to the whole income/expenditure thing on the household expenses. But hopefully, buy then, I'll have built up enough of a reserve in savings so that I can take a bit of a higher payment.
