Hi.

Well after receiving an emailed copy of my completion letter from GT exactly a week ago today, I recieved my completion certificate and completion documents from GT earlier this week so now it really is over, just waiting for name to drop off Insolvency Register now.

I would also like to add how impressed I am with the service from Noddle. I emailed them a copy of my Completion Certificate and within two days I recieved a letter from them advising me that they are happy to remove my IVA from my credit report as it is over six years old and this will be done within the next 7 days.
Great service considering that it is free and the fact that I am still waiting for Equifax and Experian to respond.
All defaults have already dropped off because it has been well over six years since IVA started so once the IVA has gone they will be nice and clean for the first time in about ten years.

I will keep the forum updated on my progress of life after completion.

Oh yes the original estimated dividend was around 31p in the pound but my final dividend was 28p even though I paid in over £4000 extra. This was mainly due to creditors higher claims but it looks to me as if there is still VAT to be refunded so the creditors will recieve slightly more in the end.
IVA Official Completed 27th July 2012!!!

I might be inclined to leave your credit report alone and let it drop of naturally at 72 months. I am starting to see the odd post whereby the credit agencies are suggesting 6 years from the last update.

Also whilst your IVA is on your credit record complete or not, no one will lend you a pencil and don't apply for any credit till 72 months has past the less institutions know about it the better. I have seen some posts on here state even if your slate is clean if they get a sniff of some past IVA they may hold it against you.

You'll see on an earlier post today the poster so well put it,like a scab let it drop off naturally, pick at it at it will take twice as long and he might be right

I've b*itched about the fact there's no fact sheet in with CC on the do's and dont's to set things right credit wise

Hi julie68

GT informed me the same on the 1st July and advised me that they have final admin work to complete and to expect certificate end of July and that is when it arrived so I would be prepared to expect it end of August, if it comes earlier then that is a bonus.

Give it 2 weeks and ask them for an update regarding your closure.

Hi Stormsylv,

Glad it's all over now!!! I keep checking the Register but still there. It has only been 2 weeks since I received my CC though.

Julie68, I agree with Stormsylv I was also getting 2 weekly updates from the closures team at GT. At least you will know what stage it's progressing.

Just a quick update...

Well a week ago today I recieved my completion documents and this morning my name was removed from the insolvency register.

It seems that after such a long wait for my completion certificate that everything is now moving very fast indeed.
