.....it is now!!

5 years and 60 payments later, about £60K paid back on an original debt of £115K, and I am debt free at last!! And what an incredible feeling it is. 5 years ago I was in the depth's of absolute despair, couldn't see a away out of the position I had got myself into, was vey depressed and my whole waking hours were spent thinking about that huge debt monkey on my back! Today I am free, and my life is just a million times better in so many ways. I would like to thank the many people on this website and on this forum for the sound advice and support that I have been given along the way. And I will stick around to lend my support to those on the IVA path, or those thinking about getting on it. If you are where I was 5 years ago, I hope this inspires you that it can be done - If I can do it, so can you. Joe.

Congratulations! It's great to read posts like this. I've got two payments left to make into my IVA and am now counting the days rather than the months. Posts like this make me feel loads better knowing that although the days seem to be dragging, there is an end.

Enjoy your debt-free life!

Will be a great new year for you Julie. You can then stop banging your head against the computer.

For the first time in years, I am seriously excited about Christmas. But only for it to be over so that I can make my final payment!

And then I will stop banging my head on my computer. It does sting a little bit after four years and 10 months....! Ouch!

JJ...thats great news....well done!

Jes not far for you to go now and also Ladyh following close behind.

Great to see posts of those having completed or nearing completion. Shows the IVA system does work and gives the rest of us some hope.

Well done all.
