Hi Tom
I want to wish you all the best - ACAS (advisory concilliation and advice service offers some sound advice both to employers and employees on all aspects of Human Resources. the company helps emloyees and employers taking into account legislation etc. It is a free and confidential service as far as Im aware why not look them up on the net and give them a call- whatever advice they give you they will give exactly the same to your employer if they were to request advice from their standpoint so you will know precisely what they might say at the meeting with your employer
GOOD LUCK Oscar

Tom, have they told you how long the investigation will take?

Also make sure you have a rep / colleague who will be attending the meeting with you and you see any notes of evidence at least 24 hours prior to the meeting.

ACAS are excellent, but beware they get very busy, so if you're phoning allow to be on hold for some time.

Keep us updated

Hi Tom, this sounds shocking and completely unfair.

Did they give you a letter explaining why you were suspended and what the purpose of the investigation was? Do you have copies of any the correspondence when you informed them of your IVA?
Debt problems, what debt problems? I'm not in De Thames, I'm in De Nile.

Security risk, to whom? I think that you need to take some advice on this Tom this doesn't sit right with me at all, take care and be safe.
Om shanti, namesté, good luck to all who are embarking on the IVA journey, it isn't always an easy one but the outcome is the best.

IVA COMPLETED August 2012, received Completion certificate 18.4.13.

this is shocking i would certainly get legal advice.in my opinion accusing you of being a security risk because you are in a iva is defamation of character.

Hi Tom, I just wanted to wish you luck with getting this sorted out. The way you've been treated is appalling x

Well I hope they don't keep you hanging on for too long, honestly this seems so silly, you're 4 years in for goodness sake, you're on the home straight. I do hope this is all lifted from you a.s.a.p and let you move on.

Tom - I would write a letter asking for full details of the investigation and their proposed timesacales, as this is causing you undue stress. Also mention that you are taking advice from ACAS.

Tom, I do know an outstanding firm of employment lawyers who operate a pro bono scheme, no win no fee and also by Legal Aid. I do not know if I am allowed to post their name and telephone number on here; perhaps one of the Moderators will let me know - if "yes" I will post.

I can't work this FF business - no good with computers. When Jan comes on I'll ask her if I can e-mail the details to her (I have her e-mail address) and then she can FF Tom! Thanks for your comments - I am only too pleased to try and help - many on here helped me - Jan in particular.

You really need to get details in writing Tom - if you want my email for off forum advice, please ask.
