I'm being hounded to use an in house PPI company to claim PPI on my behalf, they have already completed their search for PPI and are now requesting me to give them permission to contact them again for more information, (WHY), I'm not happy with the way it's being conducted. my question is: do I have to use them and can I request cancelation of this companies requests?

Hi Stephenst65 and welcome to the forum

No - you do not have to use the firm recommended by your IP if you don't want to, but you probably do have an obligation to co-operated with the pursuit of any mis-selling claims you may have. In which case if you choose not to instruct the in-house experts, you will have to engage your own claims management firm or make the claims yourself directly to the creditors - and then provide your IP with regular progress reports as agreed with them in advance.

What difficulties are you finding with using the in-house firm as a matter of interest?

My IVA is into its third year - I was asked to sign PPI form with the first year and now I am being asked to sign another one with with a firm who have sent a 20 page document asking asking for complete authorities over everything! Surely if there was none first time round there's not going to be any now !!

Hi Stephenst65.......PPI is something that we all have to deal with at sometime during our IVA and to tell the truth I think your better off using a Companys in-house PPI people.........at least then you can be seen to be co-operating with them and if theres any delay or problems then you can go direct to your IVA Company.

Theres a lot of PPI claims companies out there but at least if they come recommended by your IVA Company then one would expect that they are profficient at their job and all parties would be hoping for a swift conclusion to the claims, which as we've seen on this forum can not only be protracted but also cause heavy delays in getting completion certificates for those whose IVA's that have all but concluded.
