hi all

i have my yearly review but i am looking for a little advice,

when i set up my iva my partner was not working however last week my partner did get a part time job and as its review time i will be including his wage

when the iva was set up for the budgets we went for the bear min we could to free up as much as possible to make sure of acceptence and so far have lived but struggled and as gas phone water elec etc have all increase and if i put in the increase in petrol and food we have been spending over the past year (we have been using car maintenence fund, clothing fund and contingency fund) just to make up the shortfall

anyway my question as my partners wage at the moment is only going to be about 120 per week, after all increases there is no extra spare to add to the current payment we pay can anyone advise if this would be allowed or will i have to pay my partners wage into the iva and continue to struggle.[?][:(][?][:(]

thanks for your help everyone

Hi Tillytot.

I had a similar situation during my IVA but didnt inform my IP because I hadnt found this forum and didnt realise that I had to.

The first thing you should do is contact your IP and explain the situation regarding your partners income but also inform them how you have been struggling to meet payments and request a new income/expenditure form.

You should not be struggling during the term of your IVA, a lot of people (myself included) have under estimated there expenditure to please creditors but in the long term you end up struggling.

Hi, Im sure your IP would not want you to struggle so you need to let them know if you are finding it difficult to meet your payments.

By doing a new I/E you should find a realistic figure of what your disposable income will be.

It is your review so feel free to attempt to increase allowances but be prepared to provide evidence of increases. Keep shopping and fuel receipts for a month to submit to back up your claim.
