My partner and I are in a linked IVA, the final payment was made 15 October 2019 in September 2019 I rang to ask what needed to be sent for completion and was told no need for the I & E just send 12 months bank statements which I did almost immediately, this was acknowledged only by an automated email, rang againin Dec 2019 to check if this was all that was needed be told that 3 months of bank statements would have been enough !rang again January 2020 to find out if completion was going on to be told yes all fine nothing further needed but completion can take up to 6 months, had an email yesterday 17 Feb 2020 asking for 3 months wage slips, my partner is self employed and they have known this for the last 6 years, rang again today 18 February 2020and they asked for latest tax return , this was filed in January 2020 for the tax year 2018/19 I've sent it anyway. This afternoons post 18February 2020 and a letter arrives from the company with a copy of the annual report to creditors both report and letter dated 5Dec 2019part of the root states that we failed to comply with a request for I&E, but wasn't being taken any further as payments were up to date. as stated previously was told this was not needed. It also appears that the supervisor has changed yet again. Was not informed of this. After 6 years of doing all that has been asked and never missing or paying late we are a little annoyed to say the least any advice is very welcome, the IVA is with Aperture.

Aperture routinely make a dog's dinner out of completion and are the only firm that takes a full 6 months to complete, but they do get there eventually., I am afraid all that you can do is suppky whatever they are asking for, whenever they ask for it.

You could lodge a formal complaint, although my worry with this, at this stage, is that it could slow them down further while they look at that aspect !

I would send an email, direct to the Insolvency Practitioner, complaining of the delay and the inadequate responses to date and asking him for details of his regulatory body, in case you need to take matters further. Often the hint of a complaint to the regulators can produce results.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

Hi! I know how you feel as i have been in your shoes before.
Foggy is right, all you can do now is send them documents they ask so they can start your completion process, but make sure next time you make a follow up on phone, make a note of the persons name you spoke with and follow it up with an email about the conversation.
Also, they advice to send documents downloaded via the Client Portal, instead of posting as they get lost most times.
Our final payment was July, same as you, I followed up every week, just to be ask to send them our payslips and bank statements last November, then they manage very quickly to assess that we have to pay additional ££ for additional income, which we must pay to complete our iva.
We managed to pay to amount last December and received our completion this January, took exactly 6 months.
But it’s all worth it now.
I hope this helps.

As frustrating as it is, don't be distracted from the success of your iva - huge achievement and waiting another few weeks for your completion certificate will be worthwhile...well done !
